Aleia González, born in Asuncion, Paraguay, started her guitar studies at the age of 8, and proceeded her music studies at conservatory “Clave de Sol” in Asuncion. In 2011, Aleia graduated with Diplomas of Music and Classical Guitar instructor, after presenting a paper about guitar composers, and giving a recital with works featuring guitar solo repertoire and chamber music, such as Piazolla’s Historia del Tango and Vivaldi’s Concerto in C major.
Aleia has participated in several masterclasses with renowned classical guitarists, such as Dr. Christopher Kells, Tom Harder, Federico Raul Núñez, Sebastián Tellado, guitar duet Siqueira-Lima, Berta Rojas, and Leo Brouwer. In 2010, Aleia received an honorable mention prize in chamber music category at Momento Musical competition, held in Asuncion, Paraguay. She also placed second in the following edition in solo classical guitar category. Aleia was selected to be part of ensemble “Pu Rory” during 2016, under the direction and coaching of Paraguayan classical guitarist Berta Rojas.
Aleia holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting, and is currently a first-year Master of Music degree student in classical guitar performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, studying with Dr. Bráulio Bosi.
