Our Casual Concerts are held on Sunday
afternoons in the beautiful Chapel (the smaller
building just north of the main church) of Country
Club Christian Church.

These concerts feature Kansas City guitarists are
are held on Sunday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 pm.
They are FREE.

Park in the spacious church parking lot. It's also
free.

Guitarras Ibéricas is a trio and the backbone of Ensemble Ibérica. The
group includes different styles of guitars and performs a wide repertoire
of music from Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia and Cuba.

Mike Yungans, classical guitar

Mike Yunghans has been playing the guitar since he was nine years old. He received a
Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Baker University (2002) and a Master of Arts in
Music from the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance
(2012). He has studied guitar with jazz master Tim Cross, flamenco guitarist Beau Bledsoe,
and American classical guitar virtuoso, Doug Niedt.

Mike’s playing experience ranges from banjoist in a Dixieland jazz group to lead guitarist in
pit orchestras for theater groups such as Music Theater Kansas City and Musical Theater
Heritage. Currently, Mike represents half of the chamber duo Pararo, a group dedicated to
performing art music of Spain and South America.

Mike uses his practical experience to inspire a love of music in his students as well. He has
taught music in public schools, private studios, and universities. Mike served as adjunct
professor of guitar at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas and even taught music in
Mauritania, West Africa during his term of service in the U.S. Peace Corps.

Daniel Krieg, classical guitarist

Free Concert!
Daniel Krieg has been playing guitar since the age of 14.  He received a
Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from Wheaton
College Conservatory where he studied with Muriel Anderson and a
Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the Conservatory
of Music, University of Missouri-Kansas City where he studied with
Douglas Niedt.

He will perform pieces by Dowland, Weiss, Barrios, Tommy Emmanuel,
Sor, Villa-Lobos, and others. Join us for this wonderful concert.
